PJ'sVoice sells mystery role-playing games intended for groups of individuals 18 and older. These games may be played in-person, or virtually.

Each game has a unique story and one of two types of play:

• Unscripted: These games are improvised. They include a "backstory" and scene direction for the host to encourage the game's progress. Characters have information about their characters - beliefs, alibis, suspicions, secrets - and an introduction to read to the group. Characters are encouraged to dress in costume. After introductions the game moves forward through off-script conversation and cross-examination, with suspects staying "in character". The host manages the play by presenting clues as indicated. The host and culprit know the solution. This type of game can be the most immersive, challenging, and rewarding.

• Scripted: These games may progress through two or more "rounds", each round containing three parts:

  1. Scripted back-and-forth dialog between characters. Like a "table read" for a screenplay.

  2. Presentation of the round's clues.

  3. Question, answer, and discussion.

This type of game is more structured than non-scripted, and will end after the pre-defined number of rounds is concluded and solutions to the mystery are guessed. The host may choose not to read the solution ahead of time. The culprit does not know he/she is guilty. This type of game is entertaining to participate in, generally requires the least amount of host preparation, and is good for groups that are not comfortable improvising. Characters are encouraged to dress in costume.

Files purchased from this site are "zipped". What does that mean?

A zipped file is compressed to make it easier to send digitally. It is the most common archive format. After purchase, click the download icon in your "Thank You" confirmation page. The folder should show up in your computer's download folder or other area you indicate.  Double click on the zipped folder and your file explorer should show you the files inside the folder. You can then open and/or save the files where you wish.

How many times can I download a digital purchase?
